Vijariego Negro

Around 2002, it was time to reconvert a part of our vineyards and a few years before the Black Vijariego had been discovered on the island of El Hierro. Some plants of this island and others very old located in Anaga, Tenerife, adapted very well in our farm of La Hollera, about 600 meters above sea level, in the parcel called Mentiroso, a name that makes “honor” to an old vintner of the place. From its beginnings this wine gave the beautiful and discordant note, becoming a new site among the red Canaries. This grape variety has found on the volcanic soils and the climate of La Hollera, a perfect habitat to express all your personality.
