Twenty years ago, she was unknown among our Hollera vineyards, at the beginning we called her "Tinta Monje" but after looking inside she turned out to be "Bastardo Negro". Today we cultivate it in the place where we discovered it; "La Mostaza" plot at 670 meters altitude, from where it contemplates the intense blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the majestic Teide volcano.

About 20 years ago, in the search, between our vineyards, of some ink of early maturation and among a selection of six Tintilla, I discovered this unknown. At first we called it “Tinto Monje”, but then, from the rigorous botanical analysis, it turned out to be “Bastardo Negro”. Today we cultivate it in the place where we discovered it: La Mostaza plot at 670 meters altitude, from where it contemplates the intense blue of the Atlantic Ocean and the majestic Teide volcano.
