This honey has always been very popular on the island. It is produced at high altitudes of 1200 metres, which corresponds nearly with the entirety of the Las Cañadas del Teide National Park and its surrounding area.
The majority of the flowers are local to this part of Tenerife, such as; the Retama del Teide, La Malpica, El Rosalillo de Cumbre, el Tajinaste rojo, el Tajinaste picante etc.. The honey contained in this jar is fresh, has been produced on this island and has passed the quality controls of Tenerife Rural, part of the Tenerife council.
